Meet your Coaches
Our coaches are based across Australia, the UK and the USA, bringing together different backgrounds, styles and lived experiences of movement. What connects us is a shared belief that movement should feel welcoming, inclusive and real.
From strength and yoga to mobility, barre and boxing-inspired training, each coach brings their own flavour while keeping the same focus: supportive, (mostly) beginner-friendly classes that meet you where you are.

Ally
Bio
RAD Fitness founder Ally is a retro music fanatic. Having discovered the joys of Latin dance fitness in the early days of Zumba, she was sitting in her car one sunny day in 2012 listening to Beat It when she saw the matrix. Suddenly she understood how dance fitness principles could be applied to all her favourite songs. From this pivotal moment, she created (and began teaching) her own retro dance fitness classes, leaving behind her career as a Naturopath to pursue a life of leotards and legwarmers. In 2015 she was fortunate to complete group exercise training with two pioneer fitness instructors, opening the door to another world of classic workout nostalgia – freestyle aerobics. Ally is also a passionate creative, and loves bringing her constant stream of ideas to life. When she isn’t living the lycra dream, you can usually find Ally working on her other business endeavours with a chai tea in one hand, and one (or both) of her cats Jazz and Bowie in her lap.

Avalon
Bio
Avalon never did “grow out of her goth phase“. Participants tell her she has ‘the yoga voice’ and she’s honestly cool with that. She may have gotten out of a fine once by making an awful pun.
Starting out as a trauma counsellor with a psychology degree, Avalon fell in love with yoga during her own trauma recovery journey.
Yin and slow flow are her absolute favourites. No splits or headstands here: only yoga that honours you right where you’re at, just as you are. Her trauma-informed classes are designed to help you discover a sense of safety within your body – and all set to metal, gothic ambient, and nostalgic emo pop-punk tracks (and maybe a little Gregorian Chant!)
When she’s not out and about sharing her love of yoga, you’ll find her reading fantasy romance and Lord of the Rings fan fiction, singing 800-year-old songs in Latin, hanging out with her wife and favourite people, and trying very hard not to overwater her indoor plants!

“I really enjoy terrible jokes, good books and great music.”
April lives by the following rules:
- Question everything
- Move every day
- Do things you kind of suck at
- Laugh at yourself
- Never stop seeking joy
April’s credo for teaching is from Galileo Galilei…“We cannot teach people anything. We can only help them discover it within themselves.”

Lisa
Lisa's Bio
Lisa’s vivacious and bubbly as a brook surrounded by fawns in a Disney movie, Boss Coach Lisa considers clients to be extended family. She embraces diversity, providing an inclusive and respectful space for humans of all shapes, sizes, ages, fitness levels, places on the gendered spectrum, and for those with special needs.
Keeping her sessions as diverse as her clientele, Lisa uses a variety of equipment – or “my toys” as she calls them. Her boss timer is never far from her side and you’ll sometimes have one of her guest personalities leading the class, which is always a good time. Lisa is always happy to chat and run through options appropriate to client’s needs or interests. Her creativity and imagination enhance her session plans, turning workouts into games, with new exercises bearing hilarious made-up names.
Lisa is super informed, having completed a whole heap of movement training and gaining a long list of qualifications. Being a super-qualified sweetie, she confidently facilitates options for those whose physical state may be compromised or vulnerable. Lisa can easily plan alternate moves for injured and pre / post-natal clients, making sure everyone can take part and safely build on their strength.
A bunch of years after starting her fitness career and with an ever-growing list of accomplishments, Lisa’s love for her job remains infectious (in a good way). Go Lisa!

Sab
Sab's Bio
Who’s Da Boss? Here’s a clue: it’s not Tony Danza!
WHO DAT? Creative professional, fervent footy player and avid alternative rock/metal fan; Sab successfully combines her passions into projects that help people thrive. Teaching fun af sessions to alternative and heavy music since 2012, Sab eschews standard fitness industry goals of weight loss and competition in favour of building confidence, connection and a sense of belonging.
After a long-coming endometriosis diagnosis that led to surgery, Sab has become even more invested in using movement as a tool for pain management and living well with chronic illness. She is deadly cereal about helping our crew keep pain in check while overcoming the mental barriers that can make movement feel impossible. Sab remains annoyingly congenial in spite of it all, which is oddly inspiring at times. She understands that flare-ups are hard and provides a compassionate space where you can choose less impactful options, take a rest when needed, or simply do what works for your body, no judgement.
If you’re nervous about trying a new class or feeling a bit shy, Sab will make you feel right at home. Strong, fierce af metalheads, rockers, goths and alternative types rejoice. Sab’s ‘ere, with a hint of rational homebody energy and a healthy dose of ‘Strayan yumaaa.
There’s nothing Sab loves more than emerging from beneath the paperwork to coach. Your guide for strength, yoga, martial arts, mobility, weights and the bloody works really. So yeah, meet your Coach Sab “The Instigator”.
